Google's AI assistant app where Google offers its Nano Banana image model
Google Gemini is Google's AI assistant app. It is where Google offers Nano Banana, its image generation and editing model, to the public. You pick "Create images" in the tools menu, then write a prompt or upload a photo to edit. You can change the background, light or camera angle, combine several photos, copy the style of a reference photo, resize an image to a new format and add text in many languages.
The free plan uses Nano Banana 2. Paid Google AI plans add Nano Banana 2.1 with higher limits, and can redo an image with Nano Banana Pro. Every image carries an invisible SynthID watermark and a visible watermark.
It runs in the cloud: on the web, on Android and iOS, and as a desktop app for Windows and macOS. US prices: Free $0, Google AI Plus $4.99/month, Google AI Pro $19.99/month, Google AI Ultra from $99.99/month. The same app also makes videos with Gemini Omni. Users must be 18+.
