AI code editor and coding agent for desktop, terminal, web and iPhone
Cursor is an AI code editor and coding agent made by Anysphere. You describe a task; the agent plans the work, searches the code, edits files and runs terminal commands. The desktop app has the Agents Window for running many agents side by side, plus an editor with Tab autocomplete. Plan Mode, Debug Mode and Design Mode change how it works.
It runs locally on macOS, Windows and Linux, and in a terminal as Cursor CLI. Cloud agents run in their own virtual machines; you start them from the web, the iOS app, Slack, GitHub or Linear. Automations start agents on a schedule or on events. Bugbot reviews pull requests on GitHub. Models come from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, SpaceXAI and Cursor.
Monthly US prices (cursor.com/pricing): Free $0, Plus $8 (Grok models only), Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200, Teams from $30 per user, Enterprise custom. One usage pool is shared with Grok, and plans include X features. Third-party models are billed at API list price. SpaceX acquired Cursor in 2026.
