Notion MCP

Notion's hosted MCP server that connects AI tools to your Notion workspace

Visit website

Notion MCP is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server hosted by Notion at https://mcp.notion.com/mcp. AI tools that act as MCP clients, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code and Codex, connect to it with OAuth. They can then search, read, create and update pages and databases, with the same permissions the user has in Notion.

The tools can be used on every Notion plan, including Free. Some features need a Business or Enterprise plan with Notion AI: AI search across Notion and connected apps such as Slack and Google Drive, some search filters, and queries across many databases. On other plans, search uses keywords. Enterprise admins can choose which AI apps may connect.

Notion also published an open-source local server, notion-mcp-server (MIT licence, on GitHub), that uses an API token. Notion says it is no longer actively maintained and recommends the hosted server.

Made for

People and teams who use Notion and want AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor to read and write their workspace: developers, product teams, researchers, content creators and individuals.
