Linear MCP

Linear's official hosted MCP server for issues, projects and comments

Visit website

Linear MCP is the official Model Context Protocol server from Linear. It lets AI assistants and agents find, create and update objects in your Linear workspace, such as issues, projects and comments. Later tools added releases, customer requests and Linear Agent skills.

Linear hosts and manages the server. Clients connect to https://mcp.linear.app/mcp over Streamable HTTP and sign in with OAuth 2.1, or send a Linear API key or OAuth token as a bearer token. A read-only endpoint is also available. Linear gives setup steps for Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, Jules and v0. Clients without remote MCP support can use the mcp-remote module. Enterprise workspaces using Okta can manage access centrally.

The pricing page lists MCP access on every Linear plan: Free ($0), Basic ($10 per user/month), Business ($16 per user/month) and Enterprise, billed yearly. The server code is not published. It launched on 1 May 2025.
