Grammarly is an AI writing assistant (founded 2009). It fixes grammar, spelling and punctuation, shows and adjusts the tone of your writing, rewrites full sentences and generates text from AI prompts. It also has AI agents (proofreader, paraphraser, AI detector, humanizer, reader reactions, citations), a plagiarism checker, style guides and brand tones for teams, and Docs, its own document editor.
It works in more than 1 million apps and websites: as a browser extension for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, as a desktop app for Windows and Mac, in Microsoft Office and Google Docs, and as a keyboard for iPhone, iPad and Android. Enterprise customers get REST APIs.
Plans: Free (100 AI prompts per month), Pro (US$144 per member per year, or US$30 monthly; 2,000 prompts per month; 7-day free trial) and Enterprise (contact sales).
Grammarly is now part of Superhuman, together with Coda and Superhuman Mail. It states 40 million people and 50,000 organizations use it (home page).

Has a keyboard app for iPhone, iPad and Android and its own Docs editor; LanguageTool lists no mobile app.

The Free plan includes 100 AI prompts per month and works as a browser extension and a mobile keyboard; Hemingway's AI tools need the paid Editor Plus.
