n8n

Workflow automation platform for AI agents, with a visual canvas and code

n8n is a platform to build workflows and AI agents on a visual canvas. Each step is a node: triggers, apps, AI models, logic and code. You can write JavaScript or Python in any step, connect any API over HTTP, and see the input and output of every step. Agents can use OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or open-source models, with memory, tools, MCP and human approval.

It runs self-hosted (Docker or npm, also on-prem and air-gapped) or in n8n Cloud. The source code is on GitHub under the Sustainable Use License, which n8n calls fair-code. The self-hosted Community Edition is free.

Plans are priced by workflow executions, with unlimited users and steps. In EUR per month, billed yearly: Starter 20 (2,500 executions), Pro 50 (10,000), Business 667 (40,000, self-hosted). Monthly billing: 24, 60, 800. Enterprise has a custom price. Cloud plans have a free trial.
