Final Cut Pro is Apple's video editing app for Mac and iPad. You edit on the Magnetic Timeline, grade color with curves, color wheels and LUTs, add titles, transitions and effects, and edit audio with plug-ins from Logic Pro. AI features include Magnetic Mask, automatic captions, Visual Search, Transcript Search, Object Tracker, Smooth Slo-Mo and Beat Detection.
The app runs locally on your device. The Mac version needs macOS 15.6 or later; the iPad version needs iPadOS 18.6 or later and an iPad with an M1 chip or later, iPad (A16) or iPad mini (A17 Pro). Some features need a Mac with Apple silicon or internet access.
Final Cut Pro is part of the Apple Creator Studio subscription: $12.99 per month or $129 per year, with a 30-day free trial for new subscribers. Education plans cost $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year. The Mac app is also sold as a one-time purchase for $299.99 on the App Store.
