Udio makes music from text. You describe a song by topic, genre and mood, or write your own lyrics, and Udio generates the track. You can extend a song, remix it, replace a part of it (inpainting), match the style of another song (Styles), use a voice from its Voices library, upload your own audio, and edit a track step by step in Sessions. Songs can be published and shared on udio.com.
It runs in the cloud: on the web and in an official iPhone app. There is no Android app.
Plans (pricing page, USD): Free, 10 credits a day and 100 a month, three 2:10 songs a day. Standard, $10 a month or $8 a month billed yearly ($96), 2,400 credits a month. Pro, $30 a month or $24 a month billed yearly ($288), 6,000 credits a month. Extra credits: 100 for $3, 1,000 for $25.
In October and November 2025 Udio signed licensing deals with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group and is building a new platform. During this transition, downloads from the platform are not available.
Anyone who wants to make music, from professional musicians and producers to passionate amateurs. Udio says anyone with a tune, some lyrics or a funny idea can express themselves in music.
