Squarespace is a hosted website builder with built-in commerce. You pick a template, add products and connect a payment processor (Squarespace Payments, Stripe or PayPal). You can sell physical products, digital downloads, services, subscriptions, gift cards, courses and memberships, with no limit on the number of products.
The store includes inventory and order management, discounts, abandoned cart emails, shipping labels, carrier rates, automatic tax rates for over 100 countries and sync with Google Shopping, Facebook and Instagram. Printful connects for print on demand. The Squarespace app for iOS and Android manages the store, and point of sale is available in the U.S.
Plans: Basic (2% online store transaction fee), Core and Advanced (0% fee; Advanced adds the lowest payment processing fees). Prices are shown in each country's currency. Free trial for 14 days; paying yearly saves up to 36%. Core and Advanced include Commerce APIs.
Businesses that sell online, from people just getting started to established brands, including creative and professional services, coaches, restaurants, nonprofits, musicians and online magazines.
A website builder with templates is the core of the product, the free trial lasts 14 days (Shopify: 3 days), and Core and Advanced charge 0% transaction fees on online store sales.
