Video editor for Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, formerly Premiere Pro
Adobe Premiere, formerly Adobe Premiere Pro, is a video editing app. You edit clips on a timeline, grade color, mix audio, add effects and transitions, and make titles and captions. AI tools include Text-Based Editing from a transcript, Object Mask, Generative Extend and search of your footage by description. Adobe says the new name covers the desktop and mobile apps.
The desktop app runs on Windows 11 and macOS 14 or later. It needs an internet connection and an Adobe account to activate. Premiere on mobile for iPhone and Android is a free app that exports 4K video with no watermark. Its generative AI features use paid credits and are only on iOS.
Desktop Premiere is sold only as a subscription, with a 7-day free trial. In the US, the Premiere plan costs US$22.99/month (annual, billed monthly) with 100GB cloud storage and 25 generative credits a month. Creative Cloud Pro, with 20+ apps, is regularly US$69.99/month. For teams, Premiere costs US$37.99/month per license.
