Gumroad

Gumroad is an e-commerce platform for creators who sell directly to their customers. You can sell digital downloads, e-books, courses, memberships and subscriptions, and software with license keys. Each seller gets a storefront page, or can use their own website with a custom domain and an embedded payment form. Gumroad also has a marketplace called Discover.

It runs in the cloud at gumroad.com. There are mobile apps for iOS and Android to track sales and read purchases, a public API and a command-line tool. Buyers can pay in their own currency. Since 1 January 2025 Gumroad is the merchant of record and collects and pays sales tax and VAT for sellers.

There is no monthly fee. The fee is 10% + $0.50 (USD) per sale through your profile or direct links, and 30% per sale when a new customer finds you through Discover.

The source code of the web app is public on GitHub (antiwork/gumroad) under the MIT licence.
