PrestaShop

PrestaShop is an open-source e-commerce web application written in PHP. It has a storefront for customers and a back office to manage products, orders, customers, shipping, payments and stock. You can extend it with modules and themes from the PrestaShop Marketplace.

Classic is a free download that you install on your own web server (PHP 8.1+ and MySQL 5.6+); hosting and domain costs are not included. Hosted adds hosting with Gandi (50 GB), store installation and support by email or phone, from €24 excl. VAT per month paid yearly or €29 excl. VAT per month with no commitment, with a free 14-day trial.

The core is licensed under OSL-3.0 and the modules under AFL-3.0. Version 9.0 was released on June 10, 2025. It adds a new Admin API (REST, GraphQL, JSON:API) and the Hummingbird theme. The maker states that more than 250,000 merchants use PrestaShop.
