AI code editor for running and managing local and cloud coding agents
Devin Desktop is an AI code editor made by Cognition, formerly Windsurf (renamed on 2 June 2026). Its main view is the Agent Command Center: a Kanban board of every local and cloud agent session. Spaces group the sessions, pull requests, files and context of one task. A full IDE with extensions, Tab completions and debugging is still there.
It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. The local agent is Devin Local, the successor to Cascade. You can hand a task to Devin Cloud and close your laptop. Through the Agent Client Protocol (ACP) it also runs Codex, Claude Agent, OpenCode and other ACP agents. Models include SWE-2 and models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and SpaceXAI.
Monthly prices (devin.ai/pricing): Free $0, Pro $20, Max $200, Teams $80 plus $40 per full seat (up to 200 users), Enterprise on request. Extra usage is billed at API pricing. Windsurf plans, settings and extensions carry over.
Software engineers and teams who run several coding agents, on their own machine and in the cloud, and want one place to manage them and review their code. Plans cover individuals, teams of up to 200 users and enterprises.
Pro is $20 a month, and ACP agents such as Codex, Claude Agent and OpenCode run inside the editor.
Hands a task to Devin Cloud, which keeps working after you close your laptop; a Kanban board shows every local and cloud session.
A full IDE on macOS, Windows and Linux, with Tab completions, debugging and extensions, and a Free plan.
