Supabase MCP Server is Supabase's official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. It connects AI assistants such as Cursor, Claude, Windsurf and ChatGPT to your Supabase projects, so they can manage tables, run SQL, apply migrations, read logs, deploy Edge Functions and search the Supabase docs.
The main server is hosted by Supabase at mcp.supabase.com/mcp. You sign in with your Supabase account in the browser (OAuth), so no access token is needed. It also runs with the Supabase CLI for local projects and on self-hosted Supabase, with fewer tools. Tools come in feature groups that can be turned on or off, and there are read-only and single-project modes.
The code is open source under the Apache 2.0 license (repo supabase/mcp). Some actions cost money: creating a project or a branch asks you to confirm the cost first, and branching needs a paid Supabase plan.
