Firecrawl MCP is the official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server from Firecrawl. It gives AI agents in MCP clients such as Cursor, Claude, VS Code and Windsurf tools to search the web, scrape a page into markdown or JSON, map and crawl sites, parse PDFs and documents, click and type on live pages, run research agents and monitor pages for changes.
It runs as a hosted remote server (mcp.firecrawl.dev, with sign-in or an API key) or locally with Node.js 22 or newer (npx firecrawl-mcp). Locally it can also use a self-hosted Firecrawl API. Without a key, the hosted server offers search, scrape and parse with rate limits.
The server code is open source under the MIT licence. It uses Firecrawl API credits: Free $0 (1,000 credits a month), Hobby $19/month, Standard $99/month, Growth $399/month, Scale $749/month (less when billed yearly), Enterprise custom. Prices in USD.
