Hosted platform to build an online store and sell online and in person
Shopify is a hosted commerce platform. You build an online store from a theme or with an AI website builder, add products, and take payments with its checkout. From one admin you manage orders, inventory, shipping, customers, marketing and reports. You can also sell on social media and marketplaces, in AI chat channels, and in person with Shopify POS.
It runs in the cloud and is managed in the browser or in the Shopify app for iOS and Android. Sidekick, an AI assistant, is built into the admin. The Shopify App Store lists 21,000+ apps, and developers can build themes, apps and custom storefronts with Shopify's APIs, CLI and the Hydrogen toolkit.
Plans: Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus, plus a POS Pro add-on and an Agentic plan with no monthly fee for selling only in AI channels (you pay card rates per sale). A 3-day free trial is offered. Prices are shown in each country's currency; Plus starts from EUR 2,100 per month on the European pricing page.
Businesses of any size, from solo entrepreneurs and small teams to large brands and enterprises, that want to sell online, on social and AI channels, and in person.
Shopify POS sells in person from the same admin, an Agentic plan sells only in AI channels with no monthly fee, and Sidekick, an AI assistant, is built into the admin.
Shopify hosts the store and its checkout, so there is no WordPress site, server or separate hosting to set up and maintain.
The Shopify App Store lists 21,000+ apps, and developers can build themes, apps and custom storefronts with Shopify's APIs, the Shopify CLI and the Hydrogen toolkit.
