Jules

Google's asynchronous AI coding agent that works on GitHub repos in the cloud

Visit website

Jules is a coding agent from Google Labs. You pick a GitHub repository and branch and describe a task, or add the "jules" label to a GitHub issue. Jules clones the code into a cloud virtual machine, writes a plan for you to approve, makes the changes, shows a diff and can open a pull request. You can leave while it works and get a notification when it is done.

It runs in the cloud and uses Google's Gemini models. You use it in the web app, in the terminal with Jules Tools (npm package @google/jules) or through the Jules REST API (alpha). It can also run scheduled tasks, suggest tasks it finds in your code, fix failing CI checks on its own pull requests and connect to some MCP servers, such as Linear and Supabase.

The free Jules plan allows 15 tasks per day, 3 at the same time. Jules in Pro (100 tasks per day, 15 at once) comes with Google AI Pro, $19.99/month. Jules in Ultra (300 tasks per day, 60 at once) comes with Google AI Ultra, from $99.99/month (US prices).

Made for

Software developers who want to hand off coding tasks they would rather not do, such as bug fixes, version bumps and tests, from individuals trying it on real work to power users who run many agents in parallel. Users must be 18 or older.
